Dinant Town

Dinant is a town located in the province of Namur in the Wallonia region of Belgium. The train ride from Brussels takes about 2 hours and 30 minutes, with a change of train in Namur. There is a bronze statue here. It is of Charles de Gaulle, the famous and victorious French general in World War I. He was wounded and stayed in this town at the time. The statue was erected in his memory. But this town is famous because a man named Sax invented the saxophone, and this instrument happened to be popular all over the world, so this town became very famous. Many saxophone sculptures donated by various countries were erected on its main bridge.
