Forget about hiking, not many people have even heard of this place.

👉Jiutian Shimen I would call this place the garden of the gods. It is primitive and mysterious, and calling it a paradise on earth doesn't seem to do it justice. The name means "nine heavens and ten gates," so Phoebe and I started counting the gates from the starting point of the hike. We were surprised to find that there were indeed ten gates. It is said that this is the path that Rock took back in the day, and this is very likely because this place is back-to-back with Zhabuna. From here, it is the shortest distance to Zhabuna. But none of this matters. This is a completely undeveloped fairyland, with no commercialization at all. The hike is simply amazing. I wrote down this hiking guide, just in case you ever find yourself in Gannan and need it. 📍Jiutian Shimen is located in Kache Village, Zhuoni County, Gansu Province. You can navigate directly to the village. Once you arrive, there is a guard at the gate. You can say something nice or offer a small bribe to get through. Then, continue driving for about 20 km until you reach the end of the road. This is the starting point of the hike. First, cross the canyon, then the grassland, and finally the stream to reach the foot of the ten gates. We turned back after about 2 km due to the weather. 💡Tips The weather changes a lot in summer. If it rains, leave quickly. Safety first.
