Jiangsu-Zhejiang-Shanghai Staycation·A French Detail Lover's Dream

I recently visited The Village Hotel Moganshan, just a two-and-a-half-hour drive from Shanghai—the perfect staycation choice for the Jiangsu-Zhejiang-Shanghai area. 🏨 Originally established in 2006 as Le Passage Mohkan Shan, this French mountain retreat has been renovated into The Village Hotel Moganshan this year. Every corner left me speechless with its stunning aesthetics—absolutely on point! 📖 The hotel features a triangular-shaped bookstore, Moganshan General Store, swimming pool, club, gym, wine cellar… you name it, they’ve got it. Coincidentally, the current collaborative booklist theme at the triangular bookstore is "Habitat," which perfectly matches the vibe: right now, the habitat feels like the very ground beneath my feet, wrapped in lush greenery, with fresh scenery all around—truly "a breeze of freedom." 🍴 I also loved BACCO Restaurant! Both the Chinese and Western menus had standout dishes. Hoping for more new creations—I’ll definitely return just for the food. 🚗 I got to experience the new Mercedes-Benz CLE Cabriolet for a round trip to Moganshan General Store. Cruising the mountain roads, I felt an unparalleled sense of freedom. Looking back, it all feels surreal—whether it was the dining, the stay, or simply unwinding. The experience was a solid 10/10. My favorite details were the floral tiles and hardware in the bathroom, the elongated window proportions, the wooden shutters, and the dark-trimmed white floor-length curtains. What left the deepest impression was the abundance of beautiful, high-end striped fabrics throughout the retreat, along with the handwritten typography used in the signage. During breakfast, I was a bit dazed—gazing at the pool outside the restaurant and the hilltop villa on the opposite mountain, I almost felt like I was abroad. So if you happen to read this, I highly recommend giving it a try. P.S. Don’t miss the two standout shrimp dishes—one Chinese, one Western. The ingredients were unbelievably fresh. Personally, I adored the Italian black vinegar-glazed tiger prawns—crispy shell and unexpectedly delicious! At The Village Hotel Moganshan, live a life of vision.
