Mogan Mountain Village Inn consists of a renovated traditional rammed earth house and two newly built buildings. The designer skillfully used local building materials to make the buildings appear to grow out of the land. The rough rammed earth walls form an interesting dialogue with the modern glass curtain walls, and the bamboo weaving elements are reinterpreted in a contemporary way, outlining a unique spatial rhythm in the play of light and shadow. There are only 14 guest rooms, each named after a plant unique to Mogan Mountain. The interior space abandons redundant decorations, and solid wood furniture, linen fabrics, and rammed earth walls create a simple atmosphere together. The details show ingenuity: hand-fired pottery tea sets, handmade soaps inspired by mountain wildflowers, and an adjustable multi-mode lighting system all make the living experience extraordinary. Breakfast includes freshly ground soy milk and handmade baked cakes, served with homemade raspberry jam. The simple food is touching because of its sincerity. The chef obtains fresh ingredients from local farmers every morning, and the signature dish, Bamboo Forest Chicken Pot, is made with free-range native chicken raised for more than 200 days, and stewed slowly with mountain bamboo shoots and mushrooms. The hotel's facilities present a just right restraint. The infinity pool is like a piece of jasper inlaid on the hillside, forming a visual continuation with the distant mountains; the bamboo forest book bar collects books and vinyl records about local culture; the underground wine cellar stores green plum wine brewed with mountain spring water. The Republican-era reservoir, a 15-minute walk away, retains the arch dam architecture of the 1930s; the organic tea garden, 2 km to the south, allows guests to experience the whole process of tea picking and stir-frying; and the She ethnic cultural village is a 20-minute drive away.
