For this window, I’m willing to come back to Meili Snow Mountain again!

Just returned from Meili Snow Mountain a few days ago, and the afterglow is so strong! I have to recommend this hotel that made me willingly get up early—the Deqin Meili Bo Du Hotel! This 3-day, 2-night trip truly healed my fatigue from the whole year. 💆‍♀️Day 1: Arrival & Immersive First Snow Mountain Experience Coming all the way from Shangri-La, the scenery along the way was breathtaking beyond words. Arriving at the hotel in the afternoon, the pure white building looks like a piece of art, nestled in the valley, facing the snow-capped mountains 🏔️! We booked the deluxe snow-view king room, and as soon as we opened the door, we couldn’t help but say “Wow” 😆! The entire wall is a floor-to-ceiling window directly facing the thirteen peaks of Meili! 🛏️The room details are top-notch; once the B&O sound system is on, the atmosphere is perfect 🎶. Bulgari toiletries and a Dyson hairdryer are a blessing for someone like me who carries a lot of bottles and jars when traveling! The minibar drinks are free 🥤, plus welcome fruit, instantly making me feel it was worth every penny 💯! 🌟Day 2: Chasing the Golden Sunrise & Tibetan Cultural Experience The highlight is here! Set the alarm for 6:55 am ⏰, wrapped in the wool shawl provided by the hotel, set up the tripod in the room (so thoughtful!), and snuggled in bed waiting 📸. Watching the sky outside change from Tibetan blue to pink-purple, then the first golden light shining on Kawagebo Peak… that brief ten minutes of “Golden Sunrise on the Snow Mountain” was so beautiful it made me forget to breathe, making all the travel worth it! 🌄 After a hearty breakfast (the restaurant view is amazing too!), we tried on Tibetan costumes for a photo shoot around the hotel. Every shot with the snow mountain as the backdrop looked like a blockbuster. In the afternoon, we joined a Thangka painting class 🎨; the teacher was very patient, and it was incredibly calming. At night, there was a bonfire dance 🔥. Although the altitude is 3600 meters, so we couldn’t jump around too much, the atmosphere was fantastic! Altitude sickness tip: The hotel provides diffused oxygen and medical oxygen masks. I barely felt anything, but it’s recommended not to shower on the first day 🚿❌ and to move slowly. Day 3: Farewell & Nearby Exploration Slept in naturally, then went to the rooftop 360-degree viewing platform for one last look at the snow mountain, shrouded in mist, which was another kind of beauty ☁️. The hotel is just a few steps from the Wunongding viewing platform, perfect for a quick visit before happily heading back 👋. Rather than just a hotel, it felt like a “home” at the foot of the snow mountain, giving my soul a recharge. I’ve already made plans with friends to come back next year and watch the Golden Sunrise again! 👭
