Mount Song Scenic Area

Mount Song, located in Dengfeng City, Henan Province, is one of the famous Five Great Mountains of China and the birthplace of Chinese civilization. It is a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site and a Global Geopark, divided into three major scenic areas: Shaolin, Songyang, and Zhongyue. Mount Song boasts 72 peaks and historically had 72 temples. The scenery is picturesque and steep, with cascading waterfalls, flowing springs, and ancient towering trees. With an 8000-year cultural heritage, it is also a convergence point for Buddhism, Taoism, and Confucianism.
