💰 Scenic Spot Introduction 🎫 Tickets: CNY 146 (peak season), CNY 120 (off-season) 🚌 Sightseeing bus: CNY 120 round trip 🚌 Electric cart: CNY 80 round trip - ⏰ How much time do I need to prepare for a trip to Yading, Daocheng? 🔹 Transportation: Daocheng Yading Scenic Area is about 800 km (one way) from Chengdu. It takes two days to drive there and four days round trip. 🔹 Sightseeing: There are five core scenic spots (Long Route: Luorong Cattle Farm, Milk Sea, Five-Color Sea; Short Route: Chonggu Monastery, Pearl Sea) and three sacred mountains (Mount Chenrezig, Mount Jampelyang, and Mount Chanadorje). Together, they form a pristine natural landscape of snow-capped mountains, glaciers, rivers, forests, and meadows. We recommend at least 1.5 days for in-depth sightseeing. Choose the long route on the first day when you have more energy, and the short route on the second day. A 5–7 day trip is ideal. - 🏨 How to choose accommodation inside or outside the scenic area? 🔸 Yading Village: Altitude 4,000 m, located inside the scenic area. Advantages: Closer to the scenic spots, you can watch the stars at night. Disadvantages: High altitude, most tourists will experience altitude sickness, poor rest, only homestays are available, poor conditions and expensive. 🔸 Shangri-La Town: Altitude 2,900 m, about 10 minutes' drive from Yading. Advantages: Lower altitude, less prone to altitude sickness, more affordable accommodation, you can also stroll around Locke Square and Shambhala Style Street in the evening. 🔸 Daocheng County: Altitude 3,700 m, about 2 hours' drive. Advantages: More choices for accommodation and food. Disadvantages: Too far from the scenic area, cannot enter the scenic area in time, high altitude, prone to altitude sickness. - ⚠ Yading Travel Route ✔ After all visitors arrive at [Zhaguanbeng] by bus, walk about 500 m to [Chonggu Meadow Sightseeing Bus Stop]. There are many "monkeys🐒" along the way. Be careful not to carry plastic bags, they will be snatched away! ✔ Take the sightseeing bus, CNY 70/person round trip. You can get on and off at any scenic spot along the way. We recommend getting off at [Shenshui Lake]. The scenery here is beautiful for taking photos! You can take photos of Mount Jampelyang, the first of the three sacred mountains, and the Shenshui Lake Waterfall. ✔ For less experienced hikers, we recommend taking the bus again to [Luorong Cattle Farm] (you can also hike up). This is also the terminal station of the sightseeing bus. The scenery here is very picturesque! You can take photos for a long time! ✔ Walk about 500 m to the [Horse Ranch], CNY 200/person for a one-way trip, and you can reach [Gonga Lake] directly! The altitude is 4,200 m. Less experienced hikers can return from here. Milk Sea and Five-Color Sea are higher and more difficult to reach… It is recommended to do what you can. ✔ Return about 2 km to [Luorong Cattle Farm]. You can only walk back. Walk slowly and inhale oxygen as you go. It's perfectly okay. If you are tired, take a break. There are many chairs along the way, and the scenery is also beautiful.
