Two-Day Tour Plan for Wudang Mountain

Wudang Mountain is located in Shiyan City, Hubei Province. Its natural wonders include 72 peaks shaped like arrows, 36 cliffs, 24 streams, 11 caves filled with clouds and mist, and 10 unique rocks and 9 platforms. The cultural landscape features magnificent Taoist architectural complexes and numerous Taoist cultural relics, earning it the reputation of a "Taoist cultural relic treasure house." The scenic area inside the Wudang Mountain gate mainly consists of the Golden Summit Scenic Area, Nanyan Scenic Area, Taizipo Scenic Area, and Zixiao Scenic Area. The Wudang Mountain scenic route is shaped like a large "Y." Taizipo serves as the central transfer hub. The cable car leads to the Golden Summit Scenic Area and Nanyan Palace Scenic Area, located at the two ends of the "Y." The two core scenic areas are connected by walking trails. If you don't want to retrace your steps, you must combine cable car rides and walking. Two-Day Tour Reference Plan: Day 1: Purchase tickets at the Wudang Mountain gate and enter the mountain. Take the shuttle bus to Taizipo and explore for half an hour. Take the shuttle bus to the Qiongtai Scenic Area and visit Zhongguan. Take the cable car to the Golden Summit Scenic Area, the essence of Wudang Mountain, and visit the Golden Summit, Taihe Palace, and Golden Hall. If the weather is suitable and time permits, you can wait for the sunset and enjoy the sea of clouds at the Golden Summit, or walk from the Golden Summit to the Nanyan Palace Scenic Area and stay overnight there. Visit the Nanyan Palace Scenic Area, the most precipitous area, either on the same day or the next morning. Explore the Imperial Stele Pavilion, Dragon and Tiger Hall, Sweet Dew Well, Xuandi Hall, Dragon Head Incense Burner, and Tianyi Zhenqing Palace Stone Hall for about 2 hours. Day 2: Take the shuttle bus to Xiaoyao Valley to see the macaques. Be cautious, as the large macaques are quite bold and may beg for food or even rummage through visitors' bags. After leaving the valley, visit Zixiao Palace, the most complete and largest imperial Taoist temple preserved in Wudang Mountain to date, for about 45 minutes. Then, take the shuttle bus to the Taizipo Scenic Area and choose to visit either Yuxu Palace or Wulong Palace before concluding your trip. The two-day tour can also be done in reverse, depending on your preference.
