Phra That Si Song Rak, sacred objects on both sides of the Mekong River

#VisitSecondaryCities 🔰 Phra That Si Song Rak, a sacred object on both sides of the Mekong River, was built to witness the mutual assistance between Thailand and Laos since the Ayutthaya period in 2106. The pagoda is located on the bank of the Man River in Dan Sai District, Loei Province. 🔰 Phra That Si Song Rak is built in Lan Xang style, made of brick and mortar. The pagoda is 19.19 meters high, with a base 10.89 meters wide on each side. The base is square with twelve recessed corners. The bell-shaped "square lotus" is similar to Phra That Phanom. Around the pagoda, there is a carpet around the pagoda so that devotees can walk around and pray. The surrounding area is also shady with large trees that have been beautifully planted. 🌳 🔰 When worshiping the pagoda, locals like to offer "Pheung trees" or in the Isan language, "Pheung flowers", which are triangular bamboo frames decorated with bee flowers made from thin round candles that have been dried in the sun and formed into petals, decorated as bee trees.
