I finally found a guesthouse in Dali where I can lie down and look at Erhai Lake.

I spent a long time browsing on a certain travel app before finally choosing to stay at Dali Huazhi Lan Seaview Guesthouse. As soon as I entered, there was a faint scent of aromatherapy, which made me feel instantly relaxed. The wooden style + warm lighting made me feel like I was staying in a cozy little house of a friend. The view of Erhai Lake from the window was super healing. I took the high-speed train from Kunming to Dali in the morning and arrived at the guesthouse at 11am. It was lunchtime, so I asked the receptionist, who told me that there were restaurants within 200–300m, including rice noodles, rice bowls, and stir-fries, which were very cost-effective 😄 and tasted good. It was also very convenient to have food to eat when I returned to the guesthouse at night. The guesthouse is located near Erhai Lake. ▫️It is less than 2 km from the popular Langqiao Bridge. There are bicycles and electric bikes downstairs that you can scan the QR code to ride. It is a 5-minute ride to the bridge. There are too many people taking photos at the crooked-neck tree. I went on the 6th, and even though the May Day holiday was over, there were still a lot of people. I waited in line for about 1 hr. You can choose to take photos at an alternative tree a few hundred meters away, which is still very photogenic. The wait is about 20 minutes. ▫️It is 5–6 km from Xizhou Ancient Town and Panxi S Bend. I had limited time to play that day, so my husband and I went to Xizhou Ancient Town first. The wheat fields in Xizhou are super photogenic. There are local villagers driving small three-wheeled motorcycles from Langqiao Bridge to Xizhou Ancient Town for CNY 10/person. After visiting Xizhou Ancient Town, you can take a ride-hailing car back to the guesthouse, which is still very convenient. I plan to get up early tomorrow to watch the sunrise.
