Avoiding the Lunar New Year holiday rush, my partner and I took a spontaneous trip to Dali. The recent weather has been quite pleasant, making it feel like a mini spring outing. Today, I'll share my experience at the first beautiful hotel we stayed at, hoping to offer some helpful insights for those planning a trip to Dali. - ① Transportation 🚴 We drove from Chengdu to Dali, which took about 12 hours (including charging stops and breaks). The expressway conditions were excellent throughout the journey. ② Location The hotel is located in Wenbi Village. We drove along the Erhai Lake to get there, and the scenery was truly breathtaking. We even witnessed a stunning sunset that day. The hotel sits halfway up a mountain, with Erhai Lake just down the slope. There are plenty of cafes, bars, and restaurants along the way, creating a perfect vacation atmosphere. We had dinner at a Bai ethnic restaurant that night, and the food was delicious 😋. ③ Room Type We booked the "Kong Lin" room, which offered panoramic views of the Cangshan Mountains and Erhai Lake. I especially loved the in-room ocean-view jacuzzi 🛁. After a long day of driving, soaking in the jacuzzi was the perfect way to unwind. If the weather is good, you can wake up to a stunning sunrise over the mountains—the view from the window is absolutely incredible. Another aspect I highly value is the bedding. We arrived on a day when the temperature dropped, and I was delighted to find that the bed was already equipped with an electric blanket. That thoughtful touch definitely earned them extra points. The overall room layout and design featured a natural, simple, and rustic style, which perfectly matched my aesthetic preferences. ④ Common Areas The hotel has three floors of common areas, each tastefully designed. The first floor is for dining, while the second and third floors are lounge areas where you can relax, read, or enjoy tea. I particularly loved the light and shadow play on the spiral staircase—it was truly captivating. If you're currently renovating your home, this hotel can offer plenty of design inspiration. ⑤ Service Since we arrived quite late, the hotel's butler contacted us after we made our reservation, which was a thoughtful gesture. They also helped us with our luggage and even brought us a sweet soup before bed, which was a warm touch. Also, when we went out for a late-night snack, the butler drove us there and back.
