Tea Tasting at Yan Family Compound in Xizhou Village

#myhiddengems Just 18km north of Dali ancient town lies another hidden gem of an ancient town to visit called the Xizhou Village (喜洲古镇) offering many unique sights to take in. One of them is the Yan Family Compound, where you are brought through a two storey wooden house of an ancient era while accompanied by a friendly tour guide, who will explain all the usage, importance and purpose of each room in the house. After completing the tour, you would then be treated to a marvelous three-course tea ceremony, in which the first cup is bitter, the second is sweet and the third is for aftertaste.
