"Kastellet" Beautiful windmill 🇩🇰

Kastellet Fort is one of my favourite place in Copenhagen for getting away from hustle and the bustles city centre. It's so calm and peaceful here spend your mornings walking down the gardens or jog along. The last windmill in Copenaghen and is located in Kastellet. The structure is similar to the dutch windmills, and it dates back to the 1600s. Kastellet in Copenhagen is one of the best preserved star fortresses in Northern Europe. Once you can enter the garden you’ll find a few buildings like a church, today it is a very important historic place in Denmark with a beautifully preserved public park. Kastellet fort is free to enter and the gates are opened to the public from 6am to 10pm daily. #denmark #copenhagen #kastellett #garden #mytripvlog #tripblazers #summervacation #nationalpark #seltravels #2023travelwish #awesomepic #passionpassport #urbanexplorer #danish #sightseeing

Kastellet

Exploring Copenhagen in one epic week — get ready for sunshine, river views and architecture 🌞🌏 Top Spots to Visit: 1. Kastellet, Copenhagen — This star-shaped fortress is a must for culture nerds and casual strollers alike! Walk the ramparts, snap the unique pentagon layout, spot birds by the river, and soak in those leafy outdoor vibes (Address: Gl. Hovedvagt, Kastellet 1, 2100 København, Denmark; Open daily 6:00-20:00 in winter, 6:00-22:00 in summer). Pro tip: Visit in the morning for tranquil scenes or stay late for golden hour photography! 🏰🦆 2. Local Supermarkets — Copenhagen’s supermarkets are a revelation: shelves stacked with fresh tomatoes, peppers, onions, garlic, and more, all beautifully presented. Hit up one for picnic essentials, or just enjoy the stylish modern design and friendly Danish vibes. 👍🍅 Practical Tips: - Flight hack: Emirates from Kuala Lumpur gets you comfy service and a smooth arrival. - Getting around: Rent a bike or grab a public transport day pass for the easiest city exploring. Don’t miss river walks for serious outdoor relaxation! - Food: Go beyond the tourist traps — pick up local produce, bread, and cheeses, and DIY a riverside lunch. Copenhagen supermarkets = fresh, healthy, and budget-friendly. Bonus Tips: - Danish weather changes fast: bring layers and always check the forecast. - Most attractions (like Kastellet) open early — beat the crowds for the best photos. #CopenhagenCulture #BoracayDreams #TravelWithTrip #NatureVibes #FoodieFinds

Christmas Market Højbro Plads

Copenhagen in December is pure hygge magic 🧣✨: fairy-tale harbors, legendary mermaids, and Christmas markets lit in gold. Here’s the must-see sweep if you want those real Danish winter vibes! Top Spots to Visit: 🧜♀️ The Little Mermaid (Langelinie, 2100 København Ø) – Swing by the iconic sculpture, open all day, any season. Pro tip: Arrive early if you want that solitary Insta moment. 🎄 Christmas Market Højbro Plads – This cozy explosion of twinkle lights and holiday magic is right at the heart of the city. Grab warm gløgg and shop for local treats! 🌈 New Harbor (Nyhavn, Indre By) – The storybook canal with rainbow facades shines brightest near Christmas. Try a morning stroll for crowd-free photos, then come back after sunset for extra sparkle. 🏰 Kastellet (Gl. Hovedvagt, Kastellet 1, 2100 København) – This star-shaped fortress is a peaceful walk in winter (open 6:00–20:00). The ramparts give you killer views of both city and sea—perfect for a brisk December walk after market sweets. Quick Tips: Bundle up! The wind by the harbor is no joke in December. Bring cash for smaller Christmas market vendors. Try traditional Danish pastries at the markets—especially æbleskiver! Transport: Use Copenhagen’s Metro and buses for easy travel between spots. Buy a City Pass for unlimited rides. Weather: Expect chilly temps and possible drizzle, so dress warm and waterproof. Food Recs: Cozy up at Nyhavn’s historic cafés for smørrebrød (open-faced sandwiches) and Scandinavian mulled wine. #CopenhagenChristmas #NyhavnVibes #ScandiWinter #Tripcom #HolidayWander
