Cabo da Roca. The westernmost point of Europe.

Cabo da Roca is located at 38°47'N latitude and 9°30'W longitude, about 40 kilometers from Lisbon. On the 140-meter-high cliff of Cabo da Roca, there is a lighthouse and a cross facing the ocean. The inscription on the monument, written in Portuguese, reads: 'Where the land ends and the sea begins' (Portuguese: Onde a terra acaba e o mar começa). It takes about an hour and a half to drive from Lisbon along the coast to Cabo da Roca, passing through the famous Portuguese port city of Cascais.
