Perfect Honeymoon Retreat at Rosewood Matakauri

Rosewood Matakauri was the ideal destination for our honeymoon—quaint, cozy, and like our own secluded haven. Every window offered stunning vistas of Lake Wakatipu and the nearby mountains, and our suite was elegantly decorated with considerate details, plus a fireplace that made it wonderfully homey. The dining experience was superb, featuring fresh New Zealand cuisine. The service stood out most, warm and attentive—staff predicted our needs and made each day memorable. We enjoyed the homemade cookies and gummy bears at the main lodge. A truly unforgettable experience.
