Unique Sambisari Hindu Temple

Close to the airport, this is a smaller temple when compared to Prambanan or Borbodur. A Hindu temple with statues of Ganapati and Durga. We were the only tourists at the temple and so enjoyed going through it in detail. With fields all around, the temple has been well preserved and luckily there is no damage caused from the earthquake unlike the Pramabanan temples. During our journey to Candi Sambisari, we saw many paddy field and villages. We were excited to hear the stories from the local villagers on how this temple was found. A farmer found this temple when he was digging the land and latter it was restructured to its original structure after many years.
