Museum Balige

Located in Balige city, small lovely town six seven hours from Medan. It is an idealistic project of TB Silalahi, a former Indonesian minister in New Era. Mixed between private and Batak history. Needs to be developed further more since many empty spaces left. We can see museum of Batak, where we can learn Batak culture here. There is a personal muesum beside Batak Museum that tell stories about TB Silalahi since his childhood. They also have an example of Batak's houses from every surname. I was caught in what was on display and ended up spending more than an hour on the lower level. The same held for the upper level. Everything perfectly documented and referenced.
