Hongya Cave - Hongya Cave in Chongqing

#falladventures #travel #familytravel Hongya Cave in Chongqing possesses a mesmerising charm that captivates at first sight. As night falls and the city lights up, Hongya Cave adorns itself in a dazzling evening glow. Each building transforms into a spirit of the night, whispering tales of the city's past and rebirth. In the enchanting nightscape of Hongya Cave, you'll realise that travel is not just about sightseeing but also about experiencing those unexpected moments of warmth and wonder. **Travel Tip:** For the best view of the night scenery, head to the riverbank opposite Hongya Cave. However, be prepared for a bit of a walk. You can take the subway, but some walking is still required. It's a beautiful, historically looking building filled with colourful lights at night that you don't often see at any other places, so it's a must-visit if you are in Chongqing. As there are many steps inside the building/cave, we opted to take pictures opposite the road. Many photographers are offering their services to help visitors take pictures for a fee. Daytime-wise, the building still looks good, but cannot compare with night nighttime view. Like the pictures if you enjoy them! Follow me, Travelogist, for more updates like these.

Customized Chongqing Experience | Don't be a fleeting tourist, become an immersive host of this mountain city Always asked, "How can I best experience Chongqing without feeling cheated?" The answer is never "just check off Hongyadong and Liziba," but rather, break free from formulaic guides and follow the pace of a local travel planner to live Chongqing as your own. Here, you don't need to brave the morning rush hour crowds, you don't need to be bewildered by navigation, and you don't need to queue for two hours at trendy restaurants just for a photo. Simply immerse yourself in the unique and vibrant aspects of this mountain city. As a native Chongqing resident and someone with years of experience in customized travel, I understand all too well the pain points outed travelers to Chongqing: the 3D terrain makes navigation completely useless; popular attractions are packed with crowds, leaving everyone else in the photos; trendy restaurants are often disappointing, and finding authentic local food is difficult; itineraries are too rushed, covering half the city in a single day, leaving no time to appreciate the scenery… My job is to help you avoid all these travel pitfalls and, based on your preferences, weave Chongqing's vibrant atmosphere, its local character, and its artistic flair into a personalized itinerary. If you're traveling as a couple, I'll create a romantic, immersive trip to this mountain city for you. Instead of crowding into Hongyadong's night view, I'll take you to the riverside terrace of Danzishi Old Street, where you can feel the evening breeze of the Jialing River and watch the lights on both banks reflected on the water. It's more tranquil than Hongyadong and more suitable for holding hands and having heart-to-heart talks. Instead of the overcrowded Jiefangbei, we'll stroll along the cliffside walkway of Daijia Lane, with the river view below and your loved one beside you—every step is tender. Then, we'll arrange a visit to a small, hidden cafe in an old alley, order a couple of specialty drinks, and enjoy a slow-paced time together, gazing at the old Chongqing houses outside the window. In the evening, we'll stay in a riverside guesthouse, where you can open the curtains to a dazzling night view and fall asleep to the sound of the river, etching romance into every moment of Chongqing. If you're traveling alone, I'll help you unlock a truly relaxing and carefree mountain city experience. No need to conform to anyone's pace, no need to rush any itinerary—just follow your own heart. Wake up naturally in the morning, head downstairs to the old noodle shop, queue with the locals, order a bowl of authentic Chongqing noodles, and listen to the owner recount interesting stories of the mountain city. In the afternoon, stroll leisurely along the mountain city trails, from Shancheng Lane to Shibatidi, admiring the old Chongqing stilted buildings and cobblestone streets, feeling the weight of time. When tired, find an old teahouse, order a cup of covered-bowl tea, watch Sichuan opera face-changing performances, listen to locals sing Sichuan opera, and immerse yourself in the everyday life of Chongqing. In the evening, relax in a quiet bar on Jiujie Street, or take a walk along the riverbank on Nanbin Road, enjoying the night view, the evening breeze, and the freedom and tranquility of being alone. If you're traveling with friends, I can customize a "lively yet not crowded" journey for you. No rushed sightseeing, just a focus on "having a great time and eating authentic food." During the day, I'll take you to lesser-known attractions, such as the Mining Park hidden in Jiulongpo District, where the lake's azure waters are like jewels, perfect for taking stunning photos, and most importantly, it's less crowded and quieter. We'll also visit Baixiangju, where you can take photos reminiscent of the movie "Better Days" without queuing, experiencing Chongqing's 3D magical terrain. In the afternoon, we'll arrange a "Mountain City Murder Mystery" game, using Chongqing's old buildings as a backdrop for an immersive experience of the city's江湖 (jianghu, a term referring to the world of martial arts and chivalry) stories. In the evening, I'll take you to a local's hidden gem of a hot pot restaurant. Choose a window seat, enjoy a spicy hot pot and Chongqing beer, chat with friends, and feel the spirit of Chongqing's江湖 (jianghu) community. After dinner, stroll through the night market, sample some street food, and soak up the vibrant atmosphere of Chongqing. If you're a culture enthusiast, I'll take you on a deeper, more meaningful cultural journey through Chongqing. It's not just about seeing the scenery; it's about understanding Chongqing's history and heritage. Let me take you to the Chongqing Three Gorges Museum to learn about the changes in the Three Gorges and the history of Chongqing; to Eling Park to stroll through century-old French-style villas and experience the collision of Chinese and Western cultures in Chongqing; to the Old Drum Tower Yamen Site to explore the ancient county government culture of Chongqing; and then to the depths of Ciqikou, avoiding the commercialized streets and walking into the old alleys to see the folk crafts passed down by old artisans, such as Shu embroidery and sugar painting, and feel the cultural heritage of old Chongqing. As your exclusive Chongqing travel planner, I can do much more than just "plan the route." I will tailor a unique itinerary for you based on your travel time, budget, preferences, and even your personality—if you're afraid of getting tired, I'll minimize walking and prioritize convenient transportation; if you love spicy food, I'll take you to try Chongqing's spiciest hot pot, and if you don't like spicy food, I'll pair it with milder yet authentic Chongqing cuisine; if you want to take great photos, I'll accurately recommend off-the-beaten-path spots and even tell you the best angles and times for taking pictures; if you're worried about inconvenient accommodation, I'll recommend well-located and cost-effective guesthouses or hotels based on your itinerary, ensuring your comfort. More importantly, I will become your "local friend" in Chongqing—before your trip, I'll prepare a detailed travel guide for you, including weather, outfit suggestions, precautions, and even a Chongqing dialect handbook; during the trip, I'll answer your questions online throughout; if you encounter any problems, just send me a message and I'll help you solve them, such as getting lost, long restaurant queues, or sudden weather changes, I'll provide solutions immediately; after the trip, I'll organize your travel photos to help you preserve your beautiful memories of Chongqing. Come to Chongqing, don't be a superficial tourist. Let me be your personal travel planner, leading you beyond template-based itineraries and immersing you in the charm of this mountain city—here, you can slow down and feel the everyday life of old Chongqing; you can have fun and experience the local spirit; you can calmly understand the city's cultural heritage. Whether you want a romantic trip, a solo adventure, an in-depth cultural experience, or a lively gathering with friends, I can create a unique Chongqing journey for you, making you truly fall in love with this mountain city that you "won't want to leave once you've arrived."
