Mae Ya Waterfall, a must-visit gem in Chiang Mai

Mae Ya Waterfall: A Must-Visit Gem in Chiang Mai! #RainySeasonTourism Many people may not know that Chiang Mai doesn't only have beautiful temples and cafes, but also has a very beautiful and magnificent waterfall, Mae Ya Waterfall, hidden away! Getting to Mae Ya Waterfall is not as difficult as you might think. It is located in Doi Inthanon National Park. The roads are convenient and there are clear signs. You can drive there in a leisurely manner. Once you get there, you will have to walk a bit further, but I assure you that it will be worth the effort! When you see Mae Ya Waterfall with your own eyes, you will immediately understand why it is considered one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Thailand. The white water flowing down from a steep cliff over 260 meters high, breaking into waves like a water curtain, is very magnificent. The surrounding area is full of lush green forests and the air is fresh and refreshing. It's like recharging your body and mind. Getting to Mae Ya Waterfall Mae Ya Waterfall is located in Doi Inthanon National Park, Chiang Mai Province. Getting here is quite convenient and there are several ways to choose from. 1. Private car The most convenient way is to drive your own car. From Chiang Mai city: Take Highway No. 108 (Chiang Mai-Hot) heading south. When you reach Chom Thong District: Turn right onto Highway No. 1009 (Chom Thong-Doi Inthanon). Keep driving straight: There will be a clear sign for the entrance to Mae Ya Waterfall. The entrance to Mae Ya Waterfall is before reaching the top of Doi Inthanon (approximately 17 kilometers on Highway No. 1009). From the parking lot: When you reach the park parking lot, you will have to walk about 600 meters to the waterfall. The walking path is flat and easy to walk. 2. Public transport Yellow Songthaew (Chiang Mai-Chom Thong): You can take a yellow songthaew from Chiang Mai Gate in Chiang Mai city to Chom Thong District. Transfer from Chom Thong: From Chom Thong District, you may have to rent a car or hire a songthaew to go to Mae Ya Waterfall, which may be difficult to find and quite expensive. Additional recommendations: Road condition: The road to Mae Ya Waterfall is quite good and paved all the way. Fee: There is an entrance fee to Doi Inthanon National Park. (including Mae Ya Waterfall) for both Thais and foreigners. The best time: During the rainy season (June - October), the water will be abundant and especially beautiful. However, be careful about slippery roads and the amount of water. No matter which way you choose to travel, have fun traveling and enjoy the beauty of Mae Ya Waterfall! #ChiangMaiTravel #TravelPlan #NaturalAttractions #MaeYaWaterfall #WhereIsAijoiToday #trip

This trip to Chiang Mai was so much fun. We spent 4 days and 3 nights on this trip (I'll start by saying that I'm an introvert, so I chose the days and times I thought there would be fewer tourists, lol). 1. Start the trip by visiting Baan Kang Wat, a popular spot on TT. I recommend going around 10:00 AM when there aren't many people around, making it easier to take photos and avoiding people in the crowds. 2. Mae Ya Waterfall: We went during a storm and it was raining, but luckily, it wasn't raining too hard that day. Although the water wasn't as clear as it looked online, it was incredibly beautiful in person. 3. Huay Kaew Waterfall: There was no entrance fee when we went. We just walked a short distance and saw the waterfall. There were a lot of people sleeping by the stream, and the atmosphere was amazing. 4. Wat Pha Lat: It's so beautiful! The temple grounds are shady and peaceful. P.S. Honestly, I just wanted a change of scenery, lol. But since we were going all the way, I thought I'd give it a try. We found all 4 of these places on the spot, without any pre-planned plans. But I think it's nice not to have to plan anything. There's no pressure about where to go today. #ChiangMaiTravel #Natural attractions #House next to the temple #Mae Ya Waterfall #Huai Kaew Waterfall #Phalad Temple
