We visited Laoyeling Forest Park in the thick of summer, when the forest breathes warmth and life with every step. The trees stood tall and close together, their green canopies stitched tight against the sky. Sunlight trickled through in golden strands, painting moving patterns on the forest floor. We sat on a bench made rough by time, sipping water and watching dragonflies skim across puddles left by the morning rain. The heat never felt oppressive here the forest carried it gently.
