The park is more layered than expected, with vast forests shading the sky. Sunlight filters through the leaves, casting dappled light spots. Walking on the leaf-covered paths, you can hear the rustling sounds, and the air is filled with the fresh scent of plants. Passing through the woods leads to an open green lawn, where the grass is thick and neat. Walking barefoot feels soft, and Jiuwu immediately ran around happily, clutching small branches he picked up. The little scenes in the park are especially appealing to children—there’s a prominent Little Red Riding Hood sculpture, round and cute. Jiuwu touched it again and again and even pulled me to imitate the sculpture’s pose for photos; deep in the forest, there’s a treehouse with a natural wooden texture. Climbing up offers a view over a small patch of lawn. Jiuwu greeted passing kids from up there and played so happily he didn’t want to come down; there’s also a huge colorful hammock under the shade, where she lay swinging, murmuring “like lying on a cloud,” occasionally rolling around, her laughter drifting far across the lawn. The most surprising thing is the tranquility here. After spending the whole afternoon, we met very few people. There’s no need to avoid crowds for photos or worry about the kids running off. It felt like we had the entire park “to ourselves.” Plus, both Luye Park and Xianzong Park are open all day with no entrance fee, offering great value. The park thoughtfully provides free camping tables and chairs scattered across the lawn and under the trees. We took out our own fruits and snacks, sat on the chairs to rest, watching Jiuwu chase butterflies nearby. When the wind blew, the leaves gently swayed, making us feel especially relaxed. If you want a stronger camping vibe, you can also bring your own canopy tent, find a favorite spot to set it up, and fully immerse yourself in nature. Also, praise for the park’s facilities: the restrooms are easy to find and very clean, making it convenient to wash hands and change clothes with kids, so you don’t have to worry about the little details.
