Located just right across the Taikoo Li Shopping Mall, this Michelin One Star restaurant in Chengdu has rustic yet vibrant ambience, and the aroma of authentic Sichuan spices set the tone for a fantastic meal. The Spicy Hot Pot was the highlight, rich, numbing, and packed with flavour. My friends recommended the Sweet Roasted Goose which is rich, savory flavour and tender with juicy meat. The skin which was properly roasted, becomes irresistibly crispy and golden, offering a satisfying crunch that contrasts beautifully with the succulent, flavourful meat underneath, while the Mapo Tofu and Braised Pig Blood, which melted in the mouth. The Spicy Pork Belly Appetizer was also a hit, perfectly balanced with Sichuan peppercorns and chili. Even the side dishes, like the Crispy Fried Lotus Root and Chilli Oil Wantons, were refreshing contrasts to the heat. Service was warm and efficient, with staff happily guiding us through the menu. The restaurant’s rustic decor and bustling vibe made it feel like a true local gem. My friends and I left satisfied, sweaty from the spice, and already planning our next trip back! ⭐ Rating: 4.7/5.
