Under the green shade of Huanhua Creek, the quiet place is Du Fu Thatched Cottage

When the Tang Dynasty poet Du Fu lived in Chengdu, he lived in the area of ​​Huanhua Creek and built a thatched cottage here. Later generations built ancestral halls and gardens in the place where Du Fu lived to commemorate this great poet who had a rough life. These later buildings became today's "Du Fu Thatched Cottage." The Thatched Cottage has completely preserved the layout it had when it was rebuilt during the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty. In the old site of Caotang, the screen wall, main gate, main hall, poetry and history hall, wooden gate and Ministry of Works Temple are arranged on a central axis, with symmetrical corridors and other ancillary buildings on both sides. There are winding streams, connected bridges and shaded by bamboo trees, making it look solemn, simple and elegant, deep, quiet, beautiful and clear. There is a "Shaoling Thatched Cottage" pavilion on the east side of Gongbu Temple. Behind the Gongbu Temple is the "Thatched Cottage Scenic Area", which was restored and rebuilt based on Du Fu's poems and the Ming Dynasty layout, drawing on the characteristics of Sichuan folk houses, recreating the pastoral landscape of the poet's former residence. Shaoling Stele Pavilion is one of the representative buildings of Du Fu's Thatched Cottage. It is a pavilion with a thatched roof. There is a stone stele inside with four large characters "Shaoling Thatched Cottage" engraved on it. It was written by Prince Guo Yunli of the Qing Dynasty.
