A must visit in Chengdu! Time travel in Kuanzhai Alley

When you come to Chengdu, Kuanzhai Alley is a stop you cannot miss! This neighborhood, which combines the history of old Chengdu with modern literary and artistic atmosphere, is composed of "Kuan Alley", "Zhai Alley" and "Jing Alley", and each alley has its own story and characteristics. 📍Kuanxiangzi——Tradition and ancient charm Strolling through the wide alleys, you will see Sichuan courtyard houses with blue bricks and black tiles on both sides, which retain the leisurely style of old Chengdu. Find a teahouse, taste a pot of gaiwan tea, experience the "Bashi" lifestyle of Chengdu people, and enjoy the Sichuan Opera's face-changing or ear-cleaning skills. 📍Narrow Alleys——Art and Fashion Compared to the simplicity of wide alleys, narrow alleys are more of a combination of hipsters and art. There are cafes, creative shops, bars everywhere, and street performers playing light music, making the entire alley full of modernity. 📍Jingxiangzi——Food and Life If you want to taste the authentic Chengdu flavor, Jingxiangzi is the first choice! Hot pot, skewers, sweet noodles, ice jelly... the aroma is everywhere, allowing people to eat while walking and experience the joy of "eating in Chengdu". 🌟 Recommended Experience ☕ Sit in the teahouse and enjoy the ear cleaning service 🎭 Enjoy Sichuan Opera face-changing and feel the charm of traditional drama 🍢 Visit Jingxiangzi Night Market and try all the Chengdu snacks 📍Address: No. 127, Changshunshang Street, Qingyang District, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province 📍Business hours: Open all day (most stores are open from 10:00 to 22:00) #ChengduTravel #KuanzhaiAlley #BashiLife #ChengduFood #SichuanOperaFaceChanging #SlowTravelChengdu #MarchGoodPlaces2025

📅 Itinerary Day1:First day we went exploring the city. Just walk around and ended up at Tianfu sq. In the afternoon I went back to Wenzhou Yuan Monastery and the surrounding neighbourhood. Since we were pretty Jet lagged this was a very short day. In the evening we went to Kuan / Zhai alley for food. Which was a pretty cute area to move around and enjoy the evening. Day2: we started with the chengdu museum. Which was pretty awesome and then spend the afternoon in the people’s park and surrounding area. Also did some shopping along Chunxi Road. The afternoon we went to Wu Hu Shrine, where we also got food in the food street next door. Day3: we went to the panda research centre where in the morning (getting up early is really recommended to see them feed in the Morning), the afternoon we went to the Du Fu thatched cottage museum. Evening was spend near Anshun bridge for food and drinks. 🏨 Accommodation : we stayed at the MeHood hotel near Wenzhou Yuan monastry which was a pretty nice stay. Next time might get something more central. 📌 Tips : go to the panda centre Early to see them Have a go at their bamboo.
