Chengdu One-Day Tour for All Ages!! Lazy and Relaxing Without Tiring Your Legs!

👵👶 With both elderly and kids at home, traveling can still be easy and enjoyable! Tested this route myself, the pace is relaxed and full of fun, perfectly embodying Chengdu’s “Ba Shi” lifestyle. Save this article and just follow along! 📍 Morning · Kuanzhai Alley · Travel Through Old Times 🚗 Transportation Tips: For elderly and children, the first choice is ride-hailing or taxi. Set the destination to “Kuanzhai Alley East Square,” and you’ll arrive right there, saving all the hassle! Metro Line 4 is also very convenient, just exit at Exit B. 🎯 Travel Tips: · Stroll slowly through the alleys, take a seat in front of the stage. Try snacks and drinks along the way without stopping. There are also many Sichuan opera shows for 18 yuan per person in the alleys, which feel very cost-effective. We randomly picked one; three actors performed six acts, each actor did two, showing great talent. Especially the long-spout teapot tea art and face-changing were performed by the same lady, who was truly amazing. 🍜 Noon · Kuixinglou Street · Eat Authentic Food Without Risk A 10-minute walk from Kuanzhai Alley brings you to the food paradise loved by locals—Kuixinglou Street! Due to time constraints, we just picked a random place, and the taste was good. 🍵 Afternoon · People’s Park · Experience 100% Chengdu Slow Life 1. Heming Teahouse · The Soul of the Place · Must-try: At this century-old teahouse, grab a bamboo chair by the lake 🪑 and order a gaiwan tea (we had an afternoon hospital appointment, so time was limited). We just took a leisurely stroll around. 2. Sichuan Army Anti-Japanese War · Memorial Explanation We happened to meet a young volunteer guide explaining the Sichuan army’s departure, which was fantastic! Retired elders inside can sing and dance, creating a lively atmosphere. There are also boat rides on the lake; a whole family on one boat is just so leisurely. An elderly man writing calligraphy on the ground had a grand style, with Chinese characters looking like printed fonts. You can also browse the market, check out the matchmaking corner, and enjoy some snacks. 💡 Blood, Sweat, and Tears Tips · Ultimate Guide for Traveling with Elderly and Kids · Shoes are the most important! Everyone must wear comfortable flat shoes! This is the guarantee to laugh till the end! · Stroller! Bring it if you can! Kids can sleep when tired, and you can store things in it; it’s basically a mobile rest station. · Essentials to carry: Hot water cup for elders, wet wipes and snacks for kids, simple medicines (band-aids, stomach medicine). · Anti-lost: In crowded places, hold the kids tight! Dress them in bright colors for easy spotting. ✨ Summary: This route perfectly combines cultural experience with relaxation, neither boring nor exhausting. Spend a day with your loved ones and experience the most authentic slow life in Chengdu 💖

📅 Itinerary Day1:First day we went exploring the city. Just walk around and ended up at Tianfu sq. In the afternoon I went back to Wenzhou Yuan Monastery and the surrounding neighbourhood. Since we were pretty Jet lagged this was a very short day. In the evening we went to Kuan / Zhai alley for food. Which was a pretty cute area to move around and enjoy the evening. Day2: we started with the chengdu museum. Which was pretty awesome and then spend the afternoon in the people’s park and surrounding area. Also did some shopping along Chunxi Road. The afternoon we went to Wu Hu Shrine, where we also got food in the food street next door. Day3: we went to the panda research centre where in the morning (getting up early is really recommended to see them feed in the Morning), the afternoon we went to the Du Fu thatched cottage museum. Evening was spend near Anshun bridge for food and drinks. 🏨 Accommodation : we stayed at the MeHood hotel near Wenzhou Yuan monastry which was a pretty nice stay. Next time might get something more central. 📌 Tips : go to the panda centre Early to see them Have a go at their bamboo.
