It is located 50 kilometers from Paris, less than an hour away by car. It is said that his descendants still manage it as a personal chateau. It used to be private property from the entrance, so he is the owner of an incredibly large piece of land. The entrance fee is about 18 euros per person. Chantis Chateau, which is also visited by many French people.. It was also crowded with many visitors on the day I visited. After parking in the parking lot and getting off, On the right is the huge and magnificent Chateau de Chantis, and on the left is a building that looks like a museum, which is the stables. There is an artificial lake around Chateau de Chantis, and on days when the fog rises, the lake and the chateau create a truly dreamlike feeling. When you enter Chateau de Chantis, you will see a huge amount of paintings and various relics collected by the Duke of Aumale in the 18th century, stored and displayed as they are. Indoor photography is prohibited, so I can't post any photos, but There are many paintings by artists, relics from each country, paintings of the Duke of Omar going to war at the time, embroidered wallpapers, many sculptures, dining tables and furniture used at the time, and you can imagine the luxurious lifestyle of the nobles at the time. When you look around the interior, there are so many exhibits that you'll feel dizzy, and the large mansion is so large and spacious that you won't be able to stop for a moment. When you go outside, you will see the stables and racecourse where the dukes and nobles used to ride. If you go to the stables exhibition hall - you can enter with the admission ticket to Chantis Castle - there are real horses, and you can see various things such as a guide on how horse saddles are made, and you can also touch a gentle(?) horse.
