You will hardly find places where the historical charm and grandeur of Chania would be felt more strongly than in the Old Venetian Harbour. It is surrounded by pastel-coloured buildings that punctuate the labyrinth of narrow streets with their shops and taverns. On the east side, the domed Mosque of Kiutsuk Hasan stands out, now converted into an exhibition hall, and a few steps further east, the Center for Mediterranean Architecture is located in the magnificently restored Grand Arsenal.
