Though a millennium has passed since Du Fu's era, standing before Du Fu Pavilion, gazing at distant mountains, watching the Xiang River, and admiring the sunset, one can still grasp the vast, majestic landscapes of Hunan depicted in Du Fu's poetry. The finest view of Changsha is the Xiang River, and the finest view of the Xiang River is from this pavilion.
