The JW Marriott Hotel, Changsha

Changsha | The JW Marriott Hotel, Changsha, a luxury brand hotel that many celebrities have stayed at|||I stayed at two hotels during my May Day holiday in Changsha. One was the St. Regis, which I wrote about in my previous post, and the other was the JW Marriott. I heard that many celebrities, such as Jay Chou and Bibi Zhou, have stayed at this hotel, so we came to check out the celebrity experience. I redeemed a twin room with 39,000 points, which wasn't very cost-effective, but considering that the points are becoming less valuable and it was the May Day holiday, I still redeemed them with points. If you can travel during the off-season, it will definitely be more worth it, whether you redeem with points or pay in cash. With a primary school student at home, I can only travel when it's crowded and expensive. Hardware: The overall design style of the hotel is not the luxurious old-money style, but a simple and elegant style. Some people on the Internet complain that this hotel is like a Courtyard, but I quite like it. It's low-key and textured. The hotel design has also won the Forbes Four-Star Hotel award. I redeemed a twin room with points this time, and my child and I each had a bed, so we didn't disturb each other. This hotel also has a skyline swimming pool and a small hot tub, which is really appealing to me. A clean and beautiful swimming pool is a big plus in my book. However, this time my child wanted to play in the gym for a while, so we only walked 1 km on the treadmill. Service: Because it was a points room, it didn't include any benefits, no breakfast, no welcome gift, and no turndown service. I don't know if there is a turndown service for cash reservations. We were going to Orange Isle early the next morning, so we didn't buy breakfast either. However, the service at the front desk was very good. They asked us in detail about our needs, because we didn't receive the pre-trip call. Surroundings: This hotel is close to Metro Line 1, and there are some places to eat downstairs. Although it's not in the core business district, it's quite convenient. There are shared electric bikes everywhere in Changsha. For my child, who has never ridden an electric bike before, he was very happy when I rode him around the streets of Changsha at high speed. (Shared electric bikes are actually not allowed to carry passengers.) Other: Finally, let's talk about the dolls. The classic JW doll is the griffin. I've never received one at any JW I've stayed at before. I recently saw other guests share that this hotel had griffins, so I thought I'd try my luck. When I asked the front desk at check-in and called the service center after check-in, the reply was that they were out of stock. Then I told the front desk that I really, really wanted one. Finally, when I checked out, the front desk said that they had made a special request for one for me. But at this point, I wasn't happy to receive the doll anymore. Anyway, thank you to this JW.
