#discoverchina Just got back from a super chill and fun two-day trip to Changchun! Here’s how I did it: 🚗 Getting Around: By Air: Flew in through Changchun Longjia International Airport ✈️—super convenient and easy. By Train: There are two main train stations 🚉, both really well connected to the city! 🏨 Where to Stay: I stayed near Red Flag Street 🇨🇳, which is close to all the main attractions. If you want something quieter, People’s Square has a lot of chain hotels 🛏️. 🗺️ My Itinerary: Day 1: Started the day at Yongxing Market 🥕🧀 for some fresh food, then went to the Puppet Manchurian Palace 🏰. Afterward, visited the Northeast Invasion History Museum 📚, then spent some time shopping at New World Shopping Park 🛍️. Finished with a peaceful evening walk at the Changchun Animal & Botanical Garden 🌳🌸. Day 2: Headed to Changchun Film Studio 🎬, then explored Zheyou Mountain 🏞️ for artsy vibes. Took a ride on the G54 Track Vintage Electric Tram 🚋. Walked around Nanhu Park for some fresh air 🌬️🌿. Ended the day with delicious street food at Guilin Road Night Market 🌮🍢. Changchun was the perfect mix of history, nature, and local culture. Totally recommend it for a laid-back, stress-free getaway! 😎 #familytravel #china

🔖Nanhu Park in Changchun 🔵Name: I believe we've already told you that Changchun is now the unofficial park capital of China: we've never seen so many green recreational areas in any other city. So, the largest park in the city, Nanhu, is located near the city center, the food street, and the zoo. ⬇️Nanhu is so huge that, to give you an idea of its scale, it's the second largest park in all of China, second only to the Summer Palace in Beijing. The park has numerous walking areas, paths, pavilions, and benches, amusement rides and swings, and a lake with giant lotuses, which is also home to koi fish, which you can feed for a fee. 🔵To explore the entire park on foot, you'll likely need a spare pair of legs, so it's best to rent a bicycle or electric car—there are rental stations at various points throughout the park. We watched the sunset in Nanhu Park, and it was absolutely beautiful, especially against the backdrop of the enormous lotuses and the upturned roofs of the pavilions. In short, we definitely recommend visiting Changchun's largest park for anyone who enjoys getting their feet wet, breathing in the forest air, and simply relaxing in nature. #China #Changchun南湖公园

This relaxing day trip is perfect for those seeking a leisurely lifestyle. Itinerary: Nanhu Park ➔ Zheyoushan Nanhu Park (Address: 2715 Gongnong Road, Chaoyang District, Changchun City, Jilin Province, open 24/7) Nanhu Park is conveniently located in the city center, perfect for morning exercise or a leisurely afternoon stroll. The park is vast, with a wide lake, abundant green spaces, and wooded areas, creating a picturesque setting. Strolling along the lakeside, you'll occasionally spot people fishing. Spring and summer are the best seasons, with picnickers and morning exercisers grazing on the grass. In autumn, the lakeside maple leaves are breathtaking, making it a perfect photo opportunity. Bicycle rentals are available within the park, making it a relaxing and enjoyable experience. The park is free of charge, making it a great place to visit in the morning or evening. If you have time, bring a simple snack to experience the relaxed lifestyle of Changchun residents. Zhe You Shan (Address: 959 Hongqi Street, Chaoyang District, Changchun City, Jilin Province, open daily from 10:30 AM to 10:30 PM year-round) We recommend visiting Zhe You Shan at noon or in the afternoon after a morning stroll in Nanhu Park. This is Changchun's cultural and creative hub, housing a cafe, bookstore, handmade craft stalls, and designer stores across several floors. It's a perfect spot for those seeking a stylish photo spot. Every corner is meticulously designed, and the interior lighting creates unique, striking images. The basement offers a gathering space, while the top floor boasts an open-air terrace perfect for reading, chatting with friends, or enjoying a cup of coffee. Zhe You Shan also hosts occasional markets and craft workshops, so you can confidently pick up souvenirs or specialty cookies. If you have time, sit down for a cup of coffee and savor Changchun's uniquely slow pace. Visit Tips: 1. It's recommended to visit on weekdays, as weekends are crowded and background noise can be a problem. 2. Nanhu Park is large, so wearing comfortable shoes is recommended. There are multiple restrooms within the park, so bringing water and a light snack is a plus. 3. There are many unique shops around Zheyoushan, and you can also explore the nearby Hongqi Street food scene. 4. Both locations are about a 15-minute drive apart, easily accessible by taxi or bus. 5. The air in Nanhu Park is freshest in the morning, while Zheyoushan is relatively less crowded in the afternoon, making it perfect for a leisurely stroll. In summary, both areas in Changchun are perfect for a slow pace of life and stress relief. I'll definitely visit again if I have the chance! The local pace of life is so comfortable for me. I love listening to the birdsong in Nanhu Park and enjoying the aroma of coffee in Zheyoushan. If you want to experience the leisurely beauty of Changchun, this itinerary will not disappoint you.
