Hike along natural river pools

The natural pools of the canyon of Río Grande, near the little town of Quesa is a great spot for a family-friendly hike 🥾 Also known as “Charcos de Quesa” this natural paradise is just 1 hour drive south from the city of Valencia and despite its convenient location it is still under the radar, so not too crowded. To reach there, though, you will need to drive your own car, because pubic transportation don’t reach there 🚌 The trip may not be the easiest one, along a winding road, but it’s Tuesday worth the while. Once you reach the parking area, get ready for a hike with plenty of options for beginners and experts alike. One of my favorites is the hike until “Charco del Chorro” a pool with a beautiful waterfall; and if you continue for a few more kilometers upstream you can reach to a prehistoric paintings known as “Abrigo del Voro” a series of figures depicting a hunting scene. #gohiking
