Located about a 20-minute drive from the center of Cairo, this mosque is exceptionally beautiful. It's also less crowded with vendors than other places in Egypt, allowing for a more relaxed visit. The interior of the mosque is very beautiful, and understanding its history makes it even more interesting, so it's recommended to do some research on websites beforehand. If you're a student, don't forget to bring your student ID to take advantage of the student discount. It's best to visit early as it closes at 3 PM. Also, be aware that the nearby City of the Dead has a bit of a security issue.
