This is the Baekje Giwa Cultural Center in Buyeo-gun, Chungcheongnam-do, Republic of Korea. The Buyeo Jeongam-ri Kiln Site (Historic Site No. 373) Jeom-Ali Kiln Site, which has the best location conditions, is located in the universal sacrificial sap technique of Naedong Village, Jeongan-ri, Buyeo Mari. Baekmagang River is located near the site, and Baekje mountain fortresses and ancient tombs are distributed in the surrounding mountains. Dozens of kilns are distributed on low hills and ridge slopes in the Jeongam-ri area. The mountains surrounding the kiln site make it easy to procure firewood, and the nearby Baekmagang River provides the advantage of easily transporting the produced products to the capital, Sabi Castle. In other words, the Jeongam-ri Kiln Site has the best location conditions. Jeongam-ri Tile Kiln Jeongam-ri kilns are all underground cave structures dug into weathered granite soil. The kilns are single-room, hollow kilns, and are classified into up-yo and down-yo depending on the slope of the floor. The kiln is characterized by the fact that it is built with two units as a set. Most of the kilns are completely preserved in their original form except for the ceiling, allowing us to understand the structure of the Baekje tile kiln in detail. Fragments of tiles and pottery were found together in the kiln. Chimi Chimi is a decorative tile used on both ends of the ridge of buildings such as palaces and temples. It was used to protect the building from fire or disaster, as well as for decorative purposes by making the ends of the ridge sharp. Baekje Chimi is beautiful with a simple yet elegant shape in the form of a bird's wing feathers forming the middle. Chimi from the Baekje period, such as Busosan Temple Site, Wanghong Temple Site, and Iksan Mireuk Temple Site, have been restored in their complete form. Chimi is mostly made of clay, but it is also rarely made of stone, gilt bronze, smoke, or wood. #Domestic Travel #February Travel Support Grant Event
