Buttermere

Battermere is located in the northwest of the lake district, 4 miles from Honister Pass and 9 miles from Keswick. Because it is located between Battermere Lake and Crummock Water, the terrain here is like a bowl-shaped basin. You can walk to the lake and enjoy the famous Haystacks mountain, and there are also suitable circular hiking trails around. Accommodation resources in this area are limited. Hikers can stay at youth hostels or stone houses by the Batmir Lake. Camping at the campsite is also a good option.
