Wucai Beach

Wucai Beach is located in Burqin County, Altay Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, China. It is a famous natural landscape in the Irtysh River Basin. It is known for its unique geological structure and brilliant colors, and is known as a "natural color painting corridor." Wucai Beach is located on the north bank of the Irtysh River, about 24 kilometers north of Burqin County, and is not far from the famous Kanas Scenic Area. Wucai Beach is a typical Yadan landform, composed of red sandstone, mudstone, and gravel layers. Due to long-term wind erosion and water erosion, it has formed undulating mounds and stone pillars of various shapes, like a maze. The rocks here contain different minerals, which show a variety of colors under the sunlight, such as red, orange, yellow, green, cyan, blue, and purple. Especially at dusk, Wucai Beach under the setting sun is even more beautiful and moving. The Irtysh River flows slowly past Wucai Beach. The river is crystal clear, and the vegetation on both sides is lush, forming a beautiful picture of dynamic and static, mountains and rivers. Early morning and dusk are the best times to admire Wucai Beach. At this time, the light is soft, the color contrast is strong, and you can take the most beautiful photos. June to September is the ideal season to visit Wucai Beach. The weather is pleasant and the scenery is charming. The downside is that there are a lot of small mosquitoes, so prepare essential balm or cooling oil.
