Surroundings of Jiaozuo - Yueshan Temple

Originally named 'Qingfeng Hermitage'. In the 20th year of Dading, it was granted the name 'Daming Zen Monastery'. In the 6th year of Yuan Zhi Zheng and the 3rd year of Yongle of the Ming dynasty, it was rebuilt, and in the Wuyin year of Tianshun, it was bestowed the name 'Baoguang'. After the Qing dynasty, it was renamed 'Yueshan Temple'. In the 17th year of the Republic of China, it was changed to 'Zhongshan Park'. The first official name of Yueshan Temple - Daming Zen Monastery was conferred by Emperor Shizong of the Jin dynasty. Yueshan Temple was built in the third year of Zhenglong of the Jin dynasty, and was initially called 'Qingfeng Hermitage'. Since it was built during the early turbulent years of the Jin dynasty, it did not have official approval from the authorities, meaning it was a temple that had not been sanctioned by the government.
