The magnificient collection at Pergamon Museum

#museums #100waysoftravel Pergamon Miseum, one of the magnificient museum which lies on the Museum Island in Berlin, was built in 1910 by the orders of Kaiser Wilhelm II. It was inscribed under the UNESCO World Heritage list in 1999 as part of the museum complex due to its architectural facade and its contribution based on the architectural evolution of museums. There are a few magnificient masterpiece in the museum, namely the Pergamon Altar, Market Gate of Miletus, Ishtar Gate and the Meissner fragments of the Epic of Gilgamesh. There are also many important Relic for showcase predominantly from the Byzantine Era. This is a must to visit for those visiting Berlin.
