By visiting the town, you can explore two attractions, saving you a lot of time. Ascent❓ - I recommend purchasing tickets for the cable car, as the climb is very challenging. Additionally, many sections of the wall are damaged and closed for safety reasons. Even after reaching the top, you will still need to walk a considerable distance to get to the wall. There are two paths to choose from: an easier one and a more difficult one. We tried both and were thrilled. Yes, it was tough! But it was worth the trip! At times, the stairs are very steep and high. Architecture❓ - This is the most well-preserved section of the wall in its original state since the Ming Dynasty. The scale is simply astonishing. The height is incredible, and it's hard to imagine how it was all constructed. Once on the wall, you can see numerous fortresses, watchtowers, and connecting walls. View❓ - The view from any section of the wall is breathtaking. We were lucky to visit on a sunny day. Huge mountains surround the area, and in the distance, you can see the town of Gubei. I think this is the perfect location for artists and photographers 💛 Cost❓ - We purchased a tour on Trip.com, which included the entrance fee to the wall and Gubei town. However, we bought additional tickets for the cable car, costing 160 yuan per person for a round trip. How to get there on your own❓ A taxi one way costs about 450 yuan (if ordered through an app), so the most budget-friendly option is to book a tour on Trip.com.
