Jianshui Shuanglong Bridge

"Jianshui Shuanglong Bridge," also known as the "Seventeen-Arch Bridge," spans the confluence of the Lu River and Tachong River. This bridge is a large stone arch bridge with three pavilions and seventeen arches, originally built during the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty. It was later expanded and repaired during the Qianlong and Daoguang periods of the Qing Dynasty, resulting in the current seventeen-arch structure. The architectural style of Shuanglong Bridge is very unique, adopting the typical covered bridge style. There are three bridge pavilions on the bridge, with the middle one being larger and the two on the sides slightly smaller. The overall design is magnificent and well-layered. The bridge body is constructed from huge stone blocks, with a width of about 3 to 5 meters and a total length of 148 meters.
