Don’t go to the wrong gate, or you’ll waste an extra 20 minutes walking~ 🚖 Entrance location: Just search for "Olympic Forest Park North Garden West Gate," or take a taxi to "Olympic Forest Park North Garden - Flower Field Fun" (get off right at the core area, saves your legs). 🚄 Public transport: Take Line 8 to "Lincuiqiao" Exit C2, then walk 5 minutes to the West Gate. After entering the park, walk straight for 10 minutes, and you’ll see the "Flower Field Fun" sign—super easy to find. 🖐️ Key reminder: Don’t go to the South Garden! The autumn colors are mainly in the North Garden now; the South Garden hasn’t turned yellow on a large scale yet, so don’t go there in vain~ Follow this route, and you can capture all the autumn highlights in 1 hour This is my personally tested "convenient route," no backtracking needed. You’ll cover sulfur cosmos, the iconic tree, pink muhly grass, and dittany grass—all great photo spots! 1. West Gate → Flower Field Fun → Hundred Flowers Garden (warm-up check-in) Right after entering, you’ll see the "Flower Field Fun" sign. Next to it, the Hundred Flowers Garden has scattered wildflowers. When sunlight shines through, the shadows of leaves on the ground look amazing—perfect for warming up with a few shots and getting into the photo mood. 2. Hundred Flowers Garden → Chrysanthemum Field (sulfur cosmos alert) Walk 5 minutes ahead, and you’ll see a huge patch of sulfur cosmos! The orange flower field stretches endlessly, and when the wind blows, it moves like waves. Wear light-colored clothes (white, beige), stand by the flower field or walk on the path, and any pose will look great. I wore a white dress yesterday, and my friend said I looked like I stepped out of an oil painting~ 3. Chrysanthemum Field → Iconic Tree (must-shoot! Fully yellow now) This white ash tree is definitely the star of Olympic Forest Park’s autumn scenery! The leaves are all yellow, and the trunk is straight and thick. Whether you stand under the tree for a full-body shot or shoot upward with the branches against the blue sky, the photos come out amazing. Around 3 PM, the sunlight slants and the tree’s shadow stretches long, creating a full atmosphere—I spent 20 minutes shooting here yesterday and wanted to post every photo on social media! 4. Iconic Tree → Pink Muhly Grass Sea (soft and heart-melting) Walk northeast from the iconic tree for 10 minutes, and you’ll find the pink muhly grass. There are white chairs and a piano prop here, making for a very atmospheric photo spot. But note, the pink muhly grass is fenced off, so you can only admire it from outside or shoot from the fence—don’t step inside! I saw someone trying to climb the fence yesterday and was reminded by staff. Protecting the beauty is important! 5. Pink Muhly Grass Sea → Dittany Grass + Cosmos + Withered Lotus (all in one shot) Next to the pink muhly grass is a "hidden gem": green dittany grass looks like little balls, paired with nearby cosmos flowers (some still blooming), creating rich colors. A bit further ahead is a lotus pond; the withered lotus under the sunlight also feels very autumnal. If you like niche styles, take more photos here. My real shooting tips (all tested yesterday!) 🕒 Best photo time: 2-5 PM! The sunlight is especially gentle and not harsh, making skin look good in photos. When I went at 1 PM, the sunlight was too strong and photos were a bit overexposed. After 2 PM is just right. 🚶‍♂️‍➡️ Outfit suggestions: 🤳 Light-colored clothes (white, beige, light blue) or Morandi colors (light purple, light pink). Avoid bright colors that compete with the autumn scenery. You can bring a straw hat or scarf as props to make photos stand out more. Other reminders: Wear comfortable shoes! From the West Gate to the last spot is about 1.5 kilometers, so no high heels. There are vending machines in the park, but prices are a bit high, so it’s better to bring a bottle of water.
