There are two sides to choose from: the east and west, each offering distinct walking styles and views. Recommended during spring (April-June) and autumn (September-November) for pleasant weather and stunning views. Easy to access from Beijing by bus. Wear comfortable walking shoes, as there are many stairs and several checkpoints to climb. Recommended to arrive early in the morning to avoid crowds, especially on holidays. Passport is required to enter the Great Wall.
