Under the Hawthorn Tree - Harbuwu Stele

📍Address: Inside the hawthorn forest, 300 meters southwest of Honglin Village, Qiaozi Town, Huairou District, Beijing Historical Background: Harbuwu, a Qing Dynasty military general, was originally from the Huntong River (now Heilongjiang). At the age of 16, he joined Emperor Taizu of Qing in Jianyang and distinguished himself through bravery and numerous military achievements. He passed away in September of the 10th year of the Kangxi reign and was initially buried in Shuitou Village southwest of Beijing, later relocated to the west of Honglin Village in Qiaozi Town, Huairou District, Beijing. 🌟Highlights: The Harbuwu tombstone🪦 stands approximately 3.81 meters tall, 1.11 meters wide, and 0.45 meters thick. Made of white marble, it features a dragon-head top and tortoise base, with some damage to the dragon head. The front of the stele is inscribed with both Manchu and Chinese scripts, detailing Harbuwu's life and accomplishments.
