One of the highlights? The exhilarating toboggan ride down the mountain! It’s fun, fast, and a unique way to end such a majestic climb — laughter echoing through the hills as I zipped through the forest like a child again. Spring is truly the best time to visit Mutianyu. The temperature is just right, the crowds are fewer, and the scenery is absolutely stunning. If you’re planning a trip to Beijing, I can’t recommend this section of the Great Wall enough. It’s not just a sightseeing stop — it’s a humbling, awe-inspiring encounter with nature, history, and the enduring spirit of a civilization. So this spring, I walked along the stones that have stood for over 600 years… and I left with memories that will last a lifetime.
