Secluded Poetic Living in the Mountains – Beijing Shanti Hotel

Beijing Shanti Hotel is located on the site of Yangpoyuan Village in Mentougou, western Beijing, and is only 1 km away from the ancient Tanzhe Temple at the foot of Tanzhe Mountain. The overall layout of the hotel is built on the mountain, following the natural landscape and "hiding" the buildings in the valley, continuing the texture and scale of the ancient village. "Shanti" comes from the Sanskrit word "Siddanta," which means achievement, consummation, and perfection. For travelers, what is true relaxation? Let the guest room no longer be simply a "room for sleeping," but a "space to stay," giving people who come here a courtyard, a clear spring, an old street... Perhaps it is a delicate and warm residence, but this delicacy does not come from any label, but from a rich perception dimension and a deep understanding of life. The designer embodies the oriental culture's advocacy of the spirit of nature in every space of Shanti. The lobby adopts a semi-outdoor design, reducing one wall and replacing it with a natural wall composed of green pines, waterfalls, and stone piles with natural textures by Masatoshi Izumi. Glass, stoves, rammed earth, metal, and wood, everything you can see is the most basic element of natural creation, and nature is naturally introduced into the interior.
