Visit the Water Museum - Water Park

The Waterworks Park is located in the southern part of the Taipei Basin, in the hub area of ​​the Gongguan business district, covering an area of ​​approximately 20 hectares. The natural environment is surrounded by mountains and rivers. It is the birthplace of Taipei's tap water and is also an environmental education facility with "water resource conservation" as its theme. In addition to the Gongguan Water Purification Plant which is in operation, there are also historic buildings such as the Taipei Water Source Pump Room (Tap Water Museum) (Figures 1-8), the pressure relief tower (Figure 14), the Guanyinshan Reservoir (Figure 17), the water measuring room (Figure 18), which was built during the Japanese period and has the highest water supply in Taiwan, as well as the muddy water pumping station built after the war. The park's Environmental Education Center has carefully developed water resources lesson plans suitable for different age groups.
