Layover in Beijing, China: What to do in one day itinerary!

#chinatransit In case you have a stopover in Beijing and you want to know what to see in Beijing in 1 day, then I recommend the following one day itinerary: 07.00: Get up early and have some delicious ‘baozi’. 07.30: Head to the Temple of Heaven Park. 09.30: Walk to Tiananmen square(about 1,3 km) and marvel at the immense size of this famous square. 10.00: At the north end of the Tiananmen square you will see the entrance of the Forbidden City. Explore some courtyards and visit the Three Great Halls. 13.00: Leave for the Lama temple. To get there take the subway to Yonghegong. Start with a quick lunch before entering the most impressive and fascinating temple of Beijing. 16.00: Take the subway (or a taxi) from Yonghegong to Gulou, and walk from Gulou to the Houhai Lake. 20.30: have your dinner, and headback to the your hotel.
