Yanbo Shanzhuang, a warm memory of family reunion.

Beijing Yanbo Shanzhuang is hidden in the suburbs of Beijing, on the banks of Yanqi Lake in Huairou. It was created by Pritzker Prize winner Wang Shu in collaboration with WATG Interior Design Studio. The name "Yanbo" comes from Xie Lingyun's poem, meaning a peaceful mind, and "bo" symbolizes perseverance. The architectural design is inspired by "A Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains" and the landscape is created with reference to "Four Views of Landscape". The garden is full of water pavilions and mountains and lakes, as well as landscapes such as melon sheds rebuilt on the original site. The interior design is based on respect for Wang Shu, with blue-green and ochre-gold colors, and the tile wall in the lobby is very distinctive. The guest rooms are located by the lake, with wooden lattice windows for privacy, full of ancient charm and modern facilities. The hotel is positioned as a "boutique themed museum hotel", cleverly using transitional spaces to display art exhibits.
