Prayers, Peace, and History: Discovering Yonghe Gong

Visiting Yonghe Gong (Lama Temple) in Beijing was a fascinating experience. Originally a palace for royalty during the Qing Dynasty, it has since been transformed into a lama temple where many people come to pray. The temple features multiple halls, each dedicated to different aspects of life—luck, fortune, health, love, and more. We made a quick morning visit, and it was truly serene. With the entrance ticket, you even receive a complimentary praying candle, which adds to the meaningful experience. One of the highlights for me was the beautiful Ginko tree inside the temple grounds, which adds a touch of natural beauty to the spiritual atmosphere. This is definitely a must-visit spot in Beijing, whether you’re exploring its history or seeking a moment of peace and reflection. #beijing #museums #thingstodo #temple
