Beijing Grand View Garden

Beijing Grand View Garden is located on the southwest corner of Xicheng District, Beijing, on the banks of the moat. The original site was the royal vegetable garden during the Ming and Qing dynasties. In 1984, in order to film the TV series "Dream of the Red Chamber," this ancient garden was built based on the original description in the novel. The Grand View Garden covers an area of about 13 hectares, with a building area of more than 8,000 square meters, a water area of 24,000 square meters, and 60,000 cubic meters of rockery. There are five courtyard scenic spots, three natural scenic spots, one Buddhist temple scenic spot, and one palace scenic spot, with more than 40 scenic spots in total. The main attractions include Yihong Courtyard, Xiaoxiang Pavilion, Hengwu Courtyard, Qiushuang Study, etc. These attractions are carefully crafted according to the descriptions in "Dream of the Red Chamber," recreating the appearance of the Grand View Garden in the book.
