The Ming Tombs are the burial sites of the emperors of the Ming Dynasty, located at the foot of Tianshou Mountain in Changping District, Beijing. It is one of the largest and most well-preserved royal mausoleums in China. Subway: Get off at the Ming Tombs Scenic Area Station, walk about 1.4 kilometers, and there is a bus that can take you to the scenic area. Attractions: 1. Sacred Way, composed of the Stone Archway, Great Red Gate, Stele Pavilion, Stone Statues, and Dragon and Phoenix Gate. 2. Changling, the joint tomb of the third emperor of the Ming Dynasty, Emperor Chengzu Zhu Di, and Empress Xu. 3. Dingling, the tomb of the thirteenth emperor of the Ming Dynasty, Emperor Shenzong Zhu Yijun (reign title Wanli). 4. Zhaoling, the joint tomb of the twelfth emperor of the Ming Dynasty, Emperor Muzong Zhu Zaihou, and his three empresses. Precautions: 1. There are many stone steps inside the Ming Tombs Museum. Please watch your step during the tour to avoid falling. 2. There are ponds and pavilions inside the Ming Tombs Museum. Please do not play or frolic by the water to avoid accidentally falling in.
